Our History - Vista Independent Baptist

 In May 2001 Pastor and Mrs. Chymist  were called to moved their family to Clarenville, NL with the intentions of planting a Baptist church . In June of 2001 Vista Independent Baptist Church was started in a small office building on Memorial Drive. They met there for just over two years, and in 2003 the church was able to purchase a building at 2 Trinity Crescent . The church, though small, continues to serve the Lord faithfully and has reached out to Clarenville and other communities with the Gospel. In 2018 VIBC purchased another church building in the town of Keels and started Solid Rock Baptist Church. Both ministries are led by Pastor Chymist and continue to be shining lights on the Bonavista Peninsula.
