Our History - Solid Rock Baptist

 In 2003, while leading Vista Independent Baptist Church, Pastor Chymist felt led to start a mid week Bible study in the town of Keels. The meetings were held in the home of Selby and Eileen Mesh every Tuesday evening for more than 16 years.

 Over the years Pastor Chymist got to know many of the residents of Keels and the surrounding communities. Eventually the Lord began to impress on the folks to start praying for a Baptist church to be established in the community. In 2018 the Anglican church, the only church in the community, closed its doors and put the building up for sale. 

The Lord allowed VIBC to purchase the old church building and in November 2018 Solid Rock Baptist church began.  The people continue  to meet every Tuesday evening for Bible Study as well as every other Sunday for a Worship Service.
